Finally Back On The Scene!!!

My apologies folks but I have been EXTREMLY busy these days and I have been totally engrossed in some fantastic reading material - Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. I know this blog is really dedicated to music but I just had to mention this fantastic book and how much my outlook on life has changed by reading it. You really do need an open mind to understand the concepts presented in this book but once you really start to take in all the information, you literally can feel your mind set start to change. So if you've been feeling like sometimes you're on the path to "somewhere" but "nowhere in particular", pick up this book, read it, contemplate it and then read it again. You'll either hate it or love it, there's no room for in between.

Okay, so now we're up to the most surprising new track of the day. Whitney Houston ft. Akon...yup that's right, Whitney and Akon. When I first heard of the combination, I couldn't believe it. I mean Akon makes pretty good music and I've been a huge Whitney fan since I was a little kid. Whitney by all standards is a legend in her own right, (minus the drugs & Bobby Brown era) and I'm really hoping all goes well with her new upcoming album but according to media reports, she's now taking singing lessons. Imagine that, Whitney's taking singing lessons! Apparently the drugs really ruined those vocal chords so she's gotta learn to sing again. What the F**K is all I could say when I heard that. But anyway, back to her and Akon. The song is actually nice so have a listen.

Okay, so today is ol' skool day. Music from not too far back but stuff from the 90's up until about 2002. Probably the best era of music so far, at least for me.
